What stops a site being found?
Most search problems on a small site are not about writing more. They are a page Google cannot read properly, a redirect that went missing in a rebuild, or a setting left on from when the site was being built.
These articles take one search question at a time, in plain words, with the checks you can do yourself and a source for anything that has been measured. None of it promises a ranking, and all of it can be checked.
When you want someone to look properly, SEO for small businesses sets out the options: an SEO audit is a fixed-price check with the findings written down, a content audit does the same for what is on the pages, and monthly SEO keeps an eye on things every month. If the customers come from nearby, that is local SEO, and agencies planning a migration can bring me in for technical SEO.
