What's quietly wrong with your website?
Five things I check on every site, run on yours in about 30 seconds: whether Google is told to stay away, whether the padlock works, whether the software is out of date, whether Google knows who you are, and how fast it is on a phone.

Checking
About 30 seconds
- Is Google being told to stay away?
- Does the padlock work?
- What is it built on, and is it up to date?
- Does Google know who you are?
- How fast is it on a phone?

Anything else, ask me. I'm on LinkedIn, or hello@adamroe.co.uk.
01 Is it really free?
Yes, the check and the monthly report both. You don't need an email to see the first result; only to have it sent every month.
02 What comes every month?
A PDF of the same five checks, with what's changed since last month at the top, on the day of the month you signed up. One click stops it, and your details go when you do.
03 How is this different from Google’s PageSpeed Insights?
PageSpeed Insights measures speed, and that's one of the five. The others are the things that quietly go wrong and nobody mentions: Google told to stay away, a padlock that doesn't work everywhere, software past its security fixes, and Google not knowing who you are.
04 What does it look at?
Only what any browser can see: your homepage, its robots.txt, and for WordPress its news feed. Nothing is logged into and nothing is tested for weaknesses.
05 My site isn’t WordPress. Does that matter?
No. Wix, Squarespace, Shopify and the like keep their own software updated, so the check says so. WordPress, Joomla and Drupal are checked against their current release. If it can’t tell, it says that too.
06 Why only one fresh check a month?
Each one runs Google's own test, and a site doesn't change much in a day. Check the same site again in the month and you'll see the result already made, with the date of the next fresh one. Worried about something before then? Email me.
07 What happens to the address I type?
It's checked, and the site's address and what was found are kept for a month, so it gets one fresh check a month. Your email is kept only if you ask for the monthly report, and goes when you stop it.
08 What does it not check?
Every page beyond the homepage, whether Google has found them all, and the towns you work in. That's the free written audit, in two working days.
